Thanks to Jessie for requesting a course in Hamilton!
I just spent four lovely days in Palmerston North! Congratulations to the 3 new Slingababy NZ consultants from this training course: Chelsea in Palmerston North, Saritta in Fielding/Palmerston North, and Nicki in Napier/Hastings.
We had the pleasure of seeing a couple of previous students reattending parts of the course to refresh their knowledge. Penina from brought some of her Island Carrier designs to play with, created from the Pua Tapa design fabric (below).
Thank you all for a great time!
Here’s a video Chelsea has made for stretchy wraps with lycra, following the course 🙂
July saw the first Slingababy NZ peer supporter course run in Wellington on July 30th. Here’s a summary of the day from the team at Babywearing Wellington. The day was also shared with Penina from Kapiti, Melanie from Whanganui, and Rebecca and Hannah from Baby on the Move Lower Hutt.
From the early responses to my ‘Register your interest’ form, it was clear that the next training course would be in Auckland.
We had a lovely venue at Ecomatters, kindly recommended by Slingababy consultant Lou at The Sleep Store. It was very handy to have The Sleep Store warehouse just down the road for a lunch-time visit!
From the Auckland course we have 3 new Slingababy NZ consultants: Rhianon, Donna and Kelsey. Amy will be attending 1 cach-up day on a future course to recieve her certificate due to being unable to attend on one day of this course.
We had lots of previous students reattending all or part of the course to refresh their knowledge. It was lovely to reconnect.
I hear there are plans afoot for a central Auckland Slingababies meet…..
Introducing Slingababy NZ’s first consultants: Angela, Kirsty & Terri.
It was fabulous to hold the the first course in Invercargill in April, reconnecting with two trainees from Lorette’s peer supporter course in Christchurch last year. I woke to a beautiful dawn chorus of bellbirds every morning – such a peaceful way to start each day!
